Overview

Teacher of Business Education, Bathgate Academy, 35 hours per week, 47 weeks per year, fixed term until 13 April 2026

Bathgate Academy is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dynamic Teacher of Business Education. Bathgate Academy is a comprehensive non-denominational school serving a cluster of five primary schools. • have the necessary experience to assist in taking forward the principles of Curriculum for Excellence to support young people and the improvement agenda of the faculty, school and authority; and
• support the vision of the school and implement strategies to achieve this vision.

Qualifications

A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland is essential.

Protected Groups and PVG

This post is Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment, and the cost will be met by the candidate. The current fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or Existing Members pay £18.
