Job description

Systems Engineer – Stafford, VA

Seeking Systems Engineers at different experience levels, with a strong technical background supporting acquisition programs, to support customer in Stafford, VA. Duties include:

1. Provide direct support to Assistant Program Managers for Systems Engineering and Test and Evaluation, Team Leads, Project Officers, Systems Engineers, and Test Specialists.
2. Develop and revise appropriate level acquisition engineering documentation.
3. Develop reports, briefs, and documentation related to programs in the portfolio.
4. Conduct technical assessment and evaluation of Prime Contractor deliverables, architectures, and Engineering Change Proposals.
5. Assist with the development of technical specifications.
6. Develop Technical Review Action Plans and participate in all aspects of Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) process.
7. Participate in Systems Engineering IPTs.
8. Perform advanced technical work concerning the design, evaluation, planning, testing, integration/interoperability, operation, and maintenance of systems/subsystems/components and equipment.
9. Perform RAM, FRACAS, and TIR Analyses, reviewing ECPs, and identifying and documenting program’s functional, allocated, and product baselines.
10. Provide technical support regarding integration/interoperability, cyber security, Marine Corps Enterprise Architecture, Concept of Operations, Navy/Marine Corps Afloat Integration, Joint Interoperability, and related systems, hardware, software, and equipment.
11. Manage development of Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), assist with test strategies, procedures, and plans.
12. Assist in planning, execution, and reporting of test events and operational evaluations.
13. Develop cybersecurity and architecture products, perform engineering modeling and testing, analyze results, and ensure security boundaries are maintained during integration efforts.
14. Monitor IA vulnerability alerts and ensure appropriate security actions are taken.
15. Provide cross-functional support to address obsolescence and DMSMS issues.
16. Travel and perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or other technical/scientific discipline; relevant experience as specified below:
• Mid – Level: 5 to 9 years of relevant experience; +5 years of additional education, training, or work experience may substitute for degree. Equivalent to practitioner tier DAWIA in ETM or T&E areas.
• Senior – Level: 10+ years of relevant experience; +5 years of additional education, training, or work experience may substitute for degree. Equivalent to practitioner tier DAWIA in ETM or T&E areas.
• Experience with SETR events and documentation is required.
• Expertise in complex engineering design, evaluation, planning, testing, and operation of systems/subsystems/equipment.
• Experience with requirements traceability, decomposition into specifications and test plans, and developing acquisition systems engineering documentation.
• Experience with RAM, FRACAS, TIR Analyses, and reviewing ECPs.
• Experience developing cybersecurity and architecture products, engineering modeling, testing, and analysis.
• Experience with integration/interoperability, Marine Corps Enterprise Architecture, Concept of Operations, Navy/Marine Corps Afloat Integration, and related systems.
• Knowledge of MCSC policies, processes, and environments, and experience supporting acquisition milestones.
• Experience supporting multiple systems across various acquisition phases, including C2, Network, Amphibious Assault, and Mobile Tactical systems.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with excellent MS Office skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
• DoD SECRET clearance required.

Salary Range - $65,000 to $130,000
