A local government authority in Ipswich is seeking an IT professional to lead collaboration with the Children and Young People Services. The role involves managing the development and maintenance of the product portfolio and requires strong analytical and solution design skills. The Suffolk County Council IT department provides technology support to our 6 directorates - Adult Social Care, Children and Young People Services, Corporate Services, Fire & Public Safety, Growth Highways and Infrastructure and Public Health and Communities.
We are looking for motivated individuals who are keen to enable the transformation of public services in Suffolk, whilst embracing the opportunities presented by devolution and local government reform.

You will have excellent analysis and solution design skills, be a strong communicator and possess a good knowledge of the ITIL best practice framework. As this is a technical support role, a solid background in supporting line of business applications and associated technologies in a Windows Server environment would be advantageous.

The IT Service, as part of the Corporate Services directorate, provides and supports Suffolk County Council's technology requirements. You will be working alongside experts in network, server, storage, applications, devices, cyber security and first line support. The IT Service supports colleagues across the organisation to get the most from their technology provision within a flexible working environment.
