Job description

OFI are seeking experienced Switchboard Electricians to join our expanding team. Based in our new Welshpool workshop, the casual or permanent role offers family friendly hours (Monday to Friday), opportunities for overtime, and a great work environment working within a close-knit team. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a newly established workshop with a strong pipeline of upcoming works.

As part of the NRW Group, OFI have a solid pipeline of work that will give you experience in local and Statewide key sectors such as Mining and Resource, Government and Defence, Fuels, and Hazardous Areas to name a few.

The successful candidate will become part of an experienced and trusted team who are dedicated to delivering quality results.

Responsibilities
  • Manufacture of Switchboards, MCCs, Control Panels, Distribution Boards, Metering Panels and the like.
  • Interpreting Electrical Schematic, Single line and GA Drawings.
  • Manufacture and installation of bus bar systems (desirable but not essential).
  • Installation and termination of switchboard associated apparatus including but not limited to LV/motor control wiring, PLC system, protection relays and SCADA communication system.
  • Verification of circuitry and switchboard apparatus in accordance with Australian Standards, client specifications and scope of works.
Qualifications
  • Hold a current WA ‘A’ Grade Electrical Licence.
  • Have minimum two years post trade qualification experience.
  • Have previous experience working as a Switchboard Electrician.
  • Have strong testing and troubleshooting skills.
  • Have experience with Elsteel or Cubic modular systems (Desirable but not essential).
  • Be able to work independently to deadlines with high attention to detail.
