Qualifications

Role Overview
Interocean is looking for a Survey Engineer / Workshop Managerto join our team permanently. The role will focus on supporting survey operations through effective equipment setup, testing, mobilisation support, and workshop management. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and maintaining procedures, checklists, and a sensor tracking system to ensure readiness and reliability of all survey equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage workshop activities, ensuring equipment readiness and maintenance.
  • Oversee mobilisation and demobilisation of survey equipment, including setup and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain equipment tracking and management systems.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for equipment specifications, wire diagrams, and spares.
  • Establish standard mobilisation checklists and procedures for each sensor type.
  • Provide remote and field-based troubleshooting support to offshore teams.
  • Work closely with the Subsea & Survey Manager to ensure best practice across the survey department.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experienceas a survey engineer in mobilisations and offshore troubleshooting.
  • Strong technical understanding of survey sensors and positioning systems.
  • Hands-on experience with the EIVA suite (NaviPac, NaviScan, NaviEdit, NaviModel).
  • BeamworXexperience is highly preferable.
  • Proven track record in workshop and equipment management.
  • Experience dealing with suppliers and technical documentation.
  • Ability to establish tracking systems and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
