Overview

Support Worker, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw). Earn £12.60 per hour (£24,638 per annum). We can't sponsor you due to certificate limits. We review this regularly. As our Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our customers who have complex mental health needs to develop their skills to live more independently in the community. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations.

Responsibilities
  • Support customers with daily living tasks to build independence and achieve goals.
  • Work with customers in Section 117 aftercare, mental health supported accommodation.
  • Help with meals, shopping, budgeting, tenancy, and moving towards independence.
  • Complete risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and reviews.
  • Time for chats and teamwork — no rushing between customers.
  • Service is not CQC-regulated; we encourage and prompt personal care where needed.

Job details
  • Occasionally our customers' needs mean your start and finish times may change. Where we ask you to be flexible, we will always try to reciprocate
  • Rota-based working pattern within a 24-hour service, working a share of weekends and sleep-ins.
  • Lone working with regular team training and meetings
  • Confident using technology for plans, training, and collaboration
  • You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that
