Job Overview

Support Worker – Nights (Selby). You must have a car and drive to a residential care home for children that is not accessible by public transport. The role is a 10‑hour shift from 10pm to 8am, paid £12.94 per hour (full‑time equivalent £27,030).

Responsibilities
  • Alternate each hour with another Support Worker to keep a young person safe at night.
  • Watch the young person while they sleep and perform other duties in the home to support the day shift team.
  • Create a safe and supportive environment for the young person during the 10‑hour shift.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children in care (advantage).
  • Driving licence and own car.
  • Flexible rota pattern and willingness to work full‑time or part‑time, casual or fixed‑term.
Availability & Contract

The position is temporary but open to casual, fixed‑term or full‑time employment. Contract options include part‑time, full‑time, casual or fixed‑term, depending on availability and needs.
