Job summary

A leading healthcare organisation is seeking qualified Support Workers (relief) across Northern Ireland. Candidates must have relevant experience and a Third Level Qualification in Social Care or a related field, along with skills to support individuals with complex needs. This role involves providing care and assisting with activities as detailed in care plans. Flexibility to cover other staff roles is required, along with an Enhance Access NI check.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar roles (e.g., Day Services, Domiciliary Care).
  • Must have up-to-date training certificates (HSE land certificates).
  • Full clean B driving license required.
  • NISCC registration mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with activities and care for children/adults as per care plan.
  • Report changes in the individual's condition to the Manager.
  • Develop social interaction skills for individuals.

AA Euro Healthcare has partnered with a leading organisation to hire qualified and experienced Support Workers (relief) across Northern Ireland.

Requirements:

  • Third Level Qualification or equivalent in Social Care or a related discipline, and/or
  • A minimum of 2 years' employment experience in a similar role (e.g., Day Services; Domiciliary Care; Residential Care; Learning Disability; Autism)
  • Experience supporting individuals who present with challenging behaviour
  • Knowledge of adults/children with complex needs
  • Up-to-date training certificates (HSE land certificates) is a plus
  • Full clean B driving license
  • Must be eligible to work in Northern Ireland
  • NISCC registration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with activities and care for children/adults as assigned by management and indicated in the person's Integrated Care Plan
  • Report changes in the child's/adult's condition or behaviour to the Manager
  • Develop social interaction skills for children/adults, individually and in group settings
  • Maintain and uphold confidentiality in line with GDPR, respecting organisation and Service Users' privacy
  • Undertake any other work within the scope of a Health Care Assistant to meet service requirements

The above list is not exhaustive; additional responsibilities may be added over time, and flexibility to cover other staff roles is required.

All prospective candidates will be required to undergo an Enhance Access NI check and provide two written references.
