A local housing association is seeking a Support Worker in Derry/Londonderry. This role involves providing care and support for up to 13 vulnerable adults at Daleview House. Ideal candidates will have a QCF/NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care and experience in a formal care/support role. Location: Daleview House, Londonderry
1x40hrs and Reserve List for Permanent/Temporary, Full Time/Part Time for our Housing with Care Schemes in Derr~Londonderry. Daleview House provides older persons supported living accommodation giving support and care for up to 13 Housing with Care Tenants. It is situated in the Waterside area of Derry~Londonderry. Daleview House provides 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year.
Qualifications: QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent
Experience: 6 months experience in a formal care/support role working with vulnerable adults. Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months. Previous experience in administrative duties.
Or
Alternative experience: 2 years' experience in a formal care/support role and previous experience of working with vulnerable adults. Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months. Previous experience in administrative duties. Must be willing to work towards completion of QCF Level 2 Health & Social Care.
Formal Care / Support may include caring at home (carers' allowance) or voluntary work in a formal setting.
