Overview
Cygnet Hospital Godden Green provides specialist acute and PICU services for women. We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to provide hands-on general cleaning and housekeeping duties at the Hospital as well as leading the housekeeping team, which will include regular staff supervision, rota management, time sheets, sickness records and annual leave requests. You will work 35 per week across 7 days, with shift times from 8am to 3pm, including working every other weekend. Responsibilities
- Ensure all housekeeping services are maintained to a high standard
- Provide a cleaning and general housekeeping service
- Conduct regular staff supervision
- Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
- Carry out daily and weekly cleaning regimes
- Replenish stock and ensure that equipment is clean and well maintained
- Employ safe working practices and adhere to health and safety procedures
- Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
- Monitor the level of service provided against the agreed standards for the department and perform audits of operational activities when required
Requirements
- Experience in housekeeping or domestic work in a care/hospital setting
- COSHH and Health & Safety Training
- Experience in managing or leading a team
- Friendly, conscientious and a positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information
