Qualifications

Overview

Support Worker – Bolsover, Chesterfield - £12.22 per hour, up to £13.22 with enhancements

Typical shifts on a rota basis are: 7:30am - 2:30pm, 2:30pm - 9:30pm and 9:30pm – 7:30am.

Responsibilities

You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing activities. Activities may include outings to local restaurants, appointments, playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema. You will help individuals grow in confidence and independence to meet their goals, such as cooking dinner or planning holidays.

This is a role in our ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) service Markham House in Bolsover, Chesterfield in a welcoming and friendly environment where no two days are the same.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Be resilient, flexible and composed in approach
  • Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours
