A reputable healthcare provider in Bodmin seeks a compassionate Support Worker to provide hands-on care for an individual with Autism and related needs. In this role, you'll promote independence, engage in meaningful activities, and support healthy lifestyle choices. Ideal candidates will have experience with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and mental health challenges. Competitive pay at £14.50 per hour and various employee benefits are offered.
Pay rate: £14.50 per hour
Shift Pattern: 12 hour shifts (8am - 8pm) Monday to Sunday
We've got a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in their family home in Bodmin. Thisperson has Autism, Mental health and Learning disabilities but this does not define them. More interestingly they have a wide range of hobbies/Interests such as Drum and bass music, DJing, Cycling, Computer games, Astronomy, Trains and much more!
Enriching activities will be an important factor in your support, and you will bring a wonderfully empathetic approach to truly make a difference to this person’s life. You will also need to bring previous experience with you in the following:
In this role, you will be providing high quality care on a 1:1 basis, ensuring that the individual you support receives compassionate and attentive care tailored to their specific needs. Your responsibilities will include promoting their independence with daily living skills, supporting their healthy lifestyle choices and budgeting. Additionally, you will be engaging with them in meaningful activities and taking them out in the community to promote their social interaction and opportunities outside of the house.
