Our Easingwold service assists clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We require an enthusiastic, caring individual to take our client out bowling, shopping and to the cinema. We have a variety of shifts including days, nights, and sleep overs.
Person-Centred Support Plan
- Prepare person-centred support plans reflecting client views and aspirations, review and amend as necessary.
- Respectful: Support clients to fulfil aspirations, live independently as possible; accompany on social visits and events, arrange activities and outings, promote choice, develop skills and knowledge.
- Open: Communicate transparently with clients and team, act with integrity, do what you say you will do.
- Understanding: Provide personal care respecting choices and dignity; assistance with washing and toileting.
- Dedicated: Keep accurate records, daily notes, fully involve client.
Support Worker Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support, enabling clients to live their best life.
- Travel with clients to bowling, shopping, cinema, social visits, outings, and events.
- Support clients to fulfil aspirations and ambitions, personify values of Person-Centred, Respectful, Open, Understanding and Dedicated (PROUD).
- Provide appropriate level of personal care and support, following individual care plan.
- Maintain accurate written and numerical records.
- Undertake a wide range of personal care and domestic duties.
- Carry out physical requirements including climbing stairs, using hoists, pushing wheelchairs, moving people, night work.
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence essential.
- Experience of caring for vulnerable adults preferred.
- Understanding of importance of maintaining accurate written and numerical records.
- Computer skills using Word, Outlook and Internet, and willingness to undertake relevant training and qualification in care if required.
- Cooperative team member, liaise and communicate effectively with carers, families, inspectors and other external stakeholders.
- Adjustments considered in line with Equality Act where criteria cannot be met due to a disability.
