A mental health service provider in Ramsgate seeks a dedicated support worker focused on engaging individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis. The role involves practical support with daily living, community resource access, and assisting with mental health interventions. A full UK driving license is required for this position. By joining the team, you will contribute to a person-centered mental health revolution aimed at promoting independent living and self-management for service users.
Please note, at this stage, the role is open only to internal staff (including NHSP and Agency staff currently on placement within our organisation) and staff substantively employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts and the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB). Any individual who is at risk of redundancy will be given priority, provided they meet the essential criteria. Do you want to be part of something new and exciting, a person‑centred mental health revolution? The Kent and Medway Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) services are stand‑alone, holistic multidisciplinary teams which provide a distinct care pathway including assessment and treatment to people aged 14 to 65 who are suspected of having a first episode of psychosis (FEP). The post holder will need to participate in the assessment and Duty function of the service which is East Kent wide. The post holder may be required to support all EIP localities to meet the needs of the service, providing service users recovery‑focused mental health interventions.
The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
