What you'll be doing
- Apply ex-operator knowledge to assess and analyse system designs, diagrams, and data, ensuring technical accuracy and robust maintenance outputs.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to colleagues across the engineering team.
- Support stakeholder engagement and contribute to collaborative working groups for maintenance design.
- Estimate scope, resources, and costs to support bids, proposals, and project planning.
- Ensure all work aligns with Quality and SH&E Management Systems.
Experience requiredEssential:- Background as a submarine nuclear operator or maintainer.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Understanding of the complete engineering lifecycle, with experience in multiple lifecycle phases.
- Extensive knowledge of ship systems and how they integrate with ILS and safety.
Desirable:- Familiarity with Ministry of Defence (MoD), industry, and corporate standards.
