Supply Teaching Staff – Scarborough

Teacher pay range - £120-£220 per day

TA pay range - £13.68-£16.50 per hour

Are you a qualified teacher or experienced teaching assistant looking for flexible work in Scarborough?

Castle Education is currently working with a welcoming local primary school that is looking for supply staff to support with planned absences such as PPA cover, staff training or ad hoc sickness cover. We are looking to build a reliable pool of staff who are happy to work on a flexible, day-to-day basis. Whether you’re looking for occasional days or more regular work, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Provide cover for planned absences (e.g., PPA, staff training) and ad hoc sickness cover as required by the school.
  • Flexibly support a range of settings and age groups as part of a supply pool.
  • Assist teachers with following lesson plans and maintain classroom management where applicable.
  • Maintain professional conduct and safeguarding standards in line with school policies.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teachers or experienced Teaching Assistants
  • Flexible and adaptable individuals who enjoy working in different settings
  • Confidence with classroom management and following lesson plans (for teaching roles)
  • An up-to-date DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
