Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing, evaluating, and managing local suppliers in the UK. Conduct market research and negotiate with suppliers to secure the most cost-effective products and services. Develop procurement plans to ensure timely, high-quality, and sufficient supply of goods while effectively controlling procurement costs and inventory levels.
- Manage warehousing and distribution services provided by third-party logistics (3PL) providers within the UK. Handle and resolve any issues or exceptions in the supply chain delivery process. Optimize and standardize warehouse layout, storage solutions, inbound and outbound processes, and distribution procedures to ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and cost-efficiency of supply chain deliveries.
- Conduct in-depth research on and strictly comply with UK customs regulations to ensure import and export clearance processes meet all requirements. Maintain close communication with customs, freight forwarders, and other relevant agencies; assist in preparing customs clearance documents and promptly resolve any issues during the clearance process. Stay informed about changes in customs policies and develop proactive strategies to mitigate compliance risks.
- Maintain effective communication with relevant departments at the China headquarters to accurately relay information and coordinate cross-border supply chain matters. Facilitate teamwork, integrate resources, and support the smooth implementation of supply chain projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, International Trade, or related fields.
- Proficient in English for business communication and documentation; fluent in spoken and written Chinese.
- Familiar with supply chain management processes, with experience in self-operated warehousing or third-party logistics management; solid knowledge of procurement management and international logistics.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with a strong team spirit; able to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
- Detail-oriented, rigorous, and highly responsible; able to work well under pressure and adapt to a high-speed work environment.
