Job Title – Supply Chain Modernisation Logistics Lead
Function – Supply Chain - Logistics
Location – Nottingham - Hybrid
Type: Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £64,062 with potential to rise to £75,367 over 3 years
Closing Date: 3rd February 2026

We are seeking an experienced logistics professional to join the NHS Supply Chain Logistics team, representing the team as part of the Supply Chain and IT Modernisation Programme. This is an exciting opportunity to help design and shape the future logistics solution that will transform how we deliver critical products to the NHS.

You will play a key role in ensuring the new solution is operationally robust, efficient, and seamlessly transitioned from programme to BAU. Working closely with our logistics operations team and logistics provider, you will provide expertise and insight to bridge the gap between design and execution.

Every day you will…
  • Contribute to the design and development of the new logistics solution, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and programme objectives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in warehouse operations, transportation, and automation technologies.
  • Lead the logistics team's input into the programme, ensuring relevant resource expertise from across the team is utilised at required points through the programme.
  • Create a point of seamless integration between BAU and programme delivery in the logistics space.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally in SCCL and with external providers, including operations, IT, and programme management, to validate solution designs.
  • Support readiness activities and transition planning to enable smooth implementation.
  • Identify risks and opportunities within the proposed solution and recommend improvements.
