Work with us at Riverford, and join a thriving employee-owned business
As our Supply Chain Assistant, you’ll help shape Riverford’s future.
As Supply Chain Assistant you will be involved in the end-to-end process of securing, ordering, and monitoring produce requirements in line with sales, quality, and demand levels, continuously reassessing the impact any changes may have to plans already in place.
You will work alongside other teams, both on and off site to ensure that the stock is moved to the relevant temperature environments and make certain that accurate stock movement is recorded on stock documents. This is largely an office-based role, however there is an expectation to be aware of the whole site, including the farm, and completing stock takes at the end of the day, along with maintaining crucial working relationships.
You will be expected to use your planning and communication skills to talk to a wide range of departments across the business and external suppliers, keep ahead of any potential issues, and ensure contingency planning is in place, as well as the consistent supply of produce to our customers.
You’ll be great at working with and interrogating numbers and trends, enjoy working at pace and be willing to become our ‘go-to’ person for anyone needing to know what the most current stock situation is.
