A local government council in Nottingham seeks enthusiastic individuals to join the Caretaking team. This role involves maintaining and assisting with events at The Council House. You will undertake cleaning and basic maintenance tasks, working both as part of a small team and independently. Training is provided, and ideal candidates should have basic repair knowledge, communication skills, and a team mindset. A commitment to health and safety is essential, along with the ability to manage your own daily routine.

Salary: £25,583 - £26,403 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Caretaking team in order to help maintain and assist with events at The Council House.
We are looking for candidates who enjoy working in a busy environment, as part of a team, who are able to communicate at all levels.
Experience in basic maintenance and cleaning is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Duties will include: vacuuming; washroom cleaning; sweeping; mopping; dusting; washing of furniture; basic maintenance e.g. painting, basic repairs, compliance such as fire alarm testing, water flushing and temperature checks etc. and use of electrical cleaning machinery i.e. buffing machine and wet pick-ups.
You will play a vital role as part of a small team of Caretakers across the city, however, this post is predominately one where you will be expected to work using your own initiative and you will be expected to program your daily routine to meet the needs of the site. Protective clothing and other PPE will be provided as required.
