Overview

The Role

We are seeking an organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students continue to learn and remain on task.

This role is pivotal in maintaining continuity of learning and requires excellent classroom management, resilience, and the ability to build positive relationships with young people.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to classes in the absence of a teacher.
  • Maintain a calm, orderly, and focused classroom environment.
  • Support students in understanding the work set, encouraging progress and engagement.
  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Provide feedback to the relevant teacher on student progress and classroom activity.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, exam invigilation, and student supervision (e.g. at break and lunch), when required.

Essential
