Overview
The Vestas Americas Tools department services construction tools for the installation and servicing of Vestas wind turbines. These heavy machinery tools provide safe and quality lifting of wind turbine components at construction sites in North, Central, and South America. This Warehouse Supervisor role requires extensive knowledge in processing inbound and outbound material in a warehouse/production environment.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers; engage with external customers professionally to maintain positive relationships and satisfaction.
- Maintain warehouse safety and organization to Vestas' safety standards and expectations.
- Provide reporting for senior management and stakeholders.
- Set performance expectations for team members, conduct 1:1 coaching and evaluations for performance, behaviors, and development plans.
- Ensure defined processes are implemented by team members.

Qualifications/Competencies
- Bachelor's degree desired; High school diploma or GED may be substituted with equivalent proven experience.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility in warehousing, distribution, retail, or related fields.
- Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience with SAP or ERP/MRP software for supply chain/inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other software programs.
- Effective written and oral communication skills; ability to interact frequently with others in a professional, courteous manner.
- Team-oriented and able to supervise and develop a team; able to handle ambiguity and work under ambiguous circumstances.
- High interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork.
Physical Demands
- Constant standing and walking.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 40 pounds.
- Occasional use of hand tools and devices weighing up to 15 pounds.
- Occasional push/pull of up to 40 pounds (force).
- Occasional kneeling, bending, and reaching.
- Operation of vehicles and plant equipment.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
