Job description

Supervisor – Social Housing Maintenance

Location: Brent (covering North West London incl. Wembley)

Contract: Temp to Perm

Salary: £42,000+ (perm)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Temp Pay Rate: £25.72 per hour (Umbrella)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor to lead and support mobile operatives delivering responsive repairs and maintenance across occupied and void social housing properties within Brent and the surrounding North West London area, including Wembley.

You will oversee multi-trade works, carry out quality inspections, and ensure all repairs are delivered safely, compliantly, and with a strong tenant-focused approach.

The role covers a defined North West London patch, meaning no unexpected travel across the city - you'll know exactly the area you're responsible for.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate mobile operatives across Brent / NW London (incl. Wembley)
• Allocate and manage workloads via PDA systems
• Monitor progress and provide regular performance reporting
• Carry out quality inspections on completed worksEnsure full compliance with Health & Safety and housing standards
• Provide technical support across carpentry/joinery, tiling, fencing, and minor plumbing
• Act as the first point of escalation for operatives and tenants

Requirements

• Trade background in carpentry/joinery with strong multi-trade experience
• Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience within repairs & maintenance
• Social housing experience preferred
• Strong communication, organisational, and IT/PDA skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Clear DBS
