Job summary

A Christian summer camp in Northern Michigan is looking for a Counselor to care for campers' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. Responsibilities include leading Bible studies, ensuring safety, and collaborating with staff. The ideal candidate is a growing Christian, 18 years or older, dedicated, teachable, and ready to engage in fun and meaningful activities. This is a full-time seasonal role with paid compensation.

Responsibilities

• Care for campers' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.

• Collaborate with leadership and other staff in group activities.
• Complete all required paperwork by the end of the week.
• Perform various functions assigned at camp.

The desire of Center Lake Bible Camp is to provide quality camps that campers and their families can feel safe, have fun, make great memories, and move closer in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Summer staffing is one of the most important facets for these things to take place. This Job description is one of many ways we navigate through the hiring process. Cabin Leader Qualifications:
• Graduated from High School or 18 years of age.
• A growing Christian.
• Mental, emotional, and spiritual stability.
Cabin Leader Requirements:
(Cabin Leader requirements include all the above statements under “All CLBC Staff Will Be”)
• Want campers to know Christ and grow in that relationship.
• Are willing to share faith with campers.
• Have a servant like attitude working with campers and other staff.
• Want to have tons of fun working, living, investing in campers.
• Hold to the statement that “Camp is for kids”.
• On time to staff meetings, assigned areas, and activities.
Responsibilities:
• Care for physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of campers in your cabin.
• Lead Bible studies and talk to cabin campers individually about their spiritual condition.
• Enforce all camp safety rules and other regulations.
• Work cooperatively with the Summer Leadership Team and other counselors and staff in larger group activities.
• Complete required paperwork at end of week.
• Perform other functions at camp as assigned.
