Job summary

A leading health organization in Wales is seeking a professional to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment interventions for individuals misusing substances. The role requires effective communication skills and experience working with alcohol and drug service users. Candidates fluent in Welsh are desirable, but Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome. This position offers the chance to work autonomously in community settings and manage caseloads to support individuals through their treatment.

Overview

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessment and treatment interventions for individuals who misuse substances, including risk assessment, substance use, social care and psychological effects.
  • Work autonomously in community settings, including services users' homes.
  • Manage caseload and support individuals through their treatment within the service.
  • Develop and continuously evaluate treatment programmes appropriate for service users.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Knowledge and experience of substance misuse interventions and treatment.
  • Effective communication skills to engage, motivate and maintain service users in contact with services.
  • Experience working with both alcohol and drug misuse service users.
  • Welsh language desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
