• Location: Middlesbrough
• Pay Rate: £25.00 per hour (Umbrella); £19.66 per hour PAYE (exclusive of holiday pay); £22.00 per hour PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)
• Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for extension)
• Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00

About the Role

Service Care Solutions are working in partnership with a council-run Substance Misuse service to recruit a dedicated Substance Use Nurse. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to individuals with substance use needs. You will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, carrying out clinical assessments, managing a varied caseload, and delivering safe and effective treatment interventions. Key Responsibilities

• Carry out physical and mental health assessments, referring to appropriate services where required.
• Deliver clinical procedures and interventions within your level of competence.
• Support pharmacological and psychosocial treatment, including safe prescribing and detox pathways.
• Manage a caseload of service users, ensuring tailored, evidence-based care plans.
• Conduct detox and dependency assessments, referring to specialist inpatient services where appropriate.
• Contribute to clinical audits, service improvement, and medicine optimisation.
• Maintain accurate records, case notes, and compliance with all relevant policies, including NMC standards.
• Ensure effective communication with service users, colleagues, GPs, and partner agencies.
