A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Substance Misuse Healthcare Assistant to support the Recovery Hub team across multiple prisons in the West Midlands. This full-time role includes implementing clinical care, supporting registered practitioners, and ensuring safe patient care. Ideal candidates will have an NVQ in Health and Social Care and experience in a healthcare setting. Competitive salary up to £25,000 per annum offered.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Healthcare Assistant to join our Substance Misuse Recovery Hub team at HMP Featherstone, HMP Brinsford and HMP Oakwood located within our West Midlands region.
The site currently offers Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm (with some flexibility).
This position is full time; you’ll receive an annual salary up to £25,000 per annum - depending on experience.
Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks
As an SMS Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary.
As a Healthcare Assistant you will be an integral part of the Recovery Hub team by bringing your clinical skills, knowledge and passion for care. The SMS Recovery Hub is a brand new innovation aimed to enhance the clinical support provided to our prisons. The SMS Recovery Hub team will provide clinical support virtually and face to face to HMP Oakwood, HMP Brinsford and HMP Featherstone. The team will consist of a Clinical Lead, Specialist SMS Nurses, NMPs and Healthcare Assistants. As well as providing clinical support to the SMS Recovery Hub team, as a HCA you will also:
