Role Overview

As Subject Leader – Religious Education, you will :

  • Lead the RE Department : Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of the RE curriculum across Key Stages 3 to 4, ensuring high standards and student engagement.
  • Deliver Inspiring Lessons : Teach engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons that encourage critical thinking, empathy, and a deeper understanding of diverse cultures and beliefs.
  • Curriculum Development : Drive curriculum innovation and adapt teaching materials to ensure the subject remains relevant and inspiring for all students.
  • Support and Mentor Staff : Lead by example, supporting and guiding fellow RE teachers in their professional development and helping them achieve their potential.
  • Foster a Positive Learning Environment : Create an inclusive classroom where all students feel respected and valued, promoting a respectful exploration of diverse perspectives.
Requirements
  • Experienced Educator : You hold QTS certification and have significant experience teaching Religious Education at secondary school level, ideally with leadership experience.
  • Inspirational Leader : You are passionate about RE and have the ability to inspire both students and colleagues with your enthusiasm and subject knowledge.
