We have an opportunity for a technically minded senior pre-press specialist to join a leading printing company that prides itself on being at the forefront of technology. Through continuous investment, its infrastructure has been designed to support clients at the highest speeds, whilst maintaining the highest quality output.

This Studio Manager role requires a detail oriented individual with previous management experience to be responsible for the overall and efficient running of the Studio, including:

  • Managing a team of studio operators and CAD designers to ensure maximum productivity and deadlines are met.
  • Maintain prepress and online approval system, demonstrating its use to new client users when required.
  • Train and guide the studio team in the best use of software and systems.
  • QC check on jobs ready for press, looking for any errors or inefficiencies and feeding this information back, requesting changes where required.
  • Attend production meetings, working closely with the production manager to ensure schedule is met with jobs ready from the studio.
  • Make recommendations to the client services team on how to best produce elements of printed products.
  • Support the print floor with technical issues relating to files and processing files.
  • Pre flight check and prepare client supplied artwork for printing.

We are looking for candidates who can take initiative, be a confident decision maker, and take an accurate and methodological approach to all projects in hand. You will show excellent organisational skills along with the ability to prioritise work.
