Job summary

A design-and-build rail contractor located in West Leeds is seeking a Structural Revit Technician with at least 5 years of experience in a design office. The successful candidate will collaborate with the design team to develop and deliver BIM models, maintain quality control standards, and assist the site team with updates and issues. Job description
ATTENTION STRUCTURAL REVIT TECHNICIANS – LEEDS.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Revit user with at least 5 years of experience working in a design office for a contractor or consultancy.

Our client is a design‑and‑build rail contractor, established 25 years ago and located in West Leeds. From their two offices they provide engineering services in the rail/transportation, food, housing, petrochemical, highways and zoological sectors.

The successful applicant will join an established and skilled design team that will support through the onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop and deliver BIM models using Revit.
  • Maintain quality control standards for drawings and models.
  • Work closely with the site team, providing regular updates and addressing on‑site issues.
  • Assist in the transfer and validation of design information from Revit to other project stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a design office for a contractor or consultancy.
  • Proficient in Revit with a strong understanding of structural modelling.
  • Familiarity with Lumion 3D visualization is beneficial; training will be provided.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work regularly with the site team.
  • Prior experience in the rail industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, largely for overnight stays.
