Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering, Master's preferred.

• Experience with hand calculations and technical coordination.

Overview

Structural Engineer – West Yorkshire (hybrid / fully remote working)
Initial 9-month contract
£42.50 - 45.00p/h DOE (outside IR35)
STAAD Pro / ProSteel

Responsibilities

• Analyse steel structures including stacks, pipe bridges, and supporting platforms
• Develop connection designs to Eurocode 3 and ISO standards
• Use STAAD Pro and ProSteel for analysis and modelling
• Produce hand calcs and contribute to technical reports
• Coordinate with the design team and stress engineers to resolve issues
• Support FEA analysis and concept modelling where required

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
• Proficient in STAAD Pro and ProSteel essential
• Familiar with Eurocodes, especially EN 1993 (Eurocode 3)
• Confident with hand calculations and technical coordination
• Comfortable working under pressure with tight deadlines; shutdown experience
