Role Purpose

To lead and manage the marketing function at itas, balancing strategic direction with operational excellence. This role is accountable for building and executing marketing plans that drive demand, strengthen brand positioning, and support revenue growth.

The Strategic Marketing Operations Manager will own the development and refinement of our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), oversee brand and messaging consistency, and ensure all marketing activity is aligned to business goals. They will also manage the marketing team, coaching and developing individuals while ensuring campaign delivery, process efficiency, and measurable outcomes.

Key Job Functions
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Manage, mentor, and develop the marketing team through regular 1-to-1s, coaching, and reviews
    • Create a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning
  • Brand & Market Positioning
    • Own the itas brand strategy, ensuring consistent messaging, tone, and visual identity
    • Define and refine the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and ensure campaigns are aligned to target markets
    • Champion customer insights to shape positioning, campaigns, and product messaging
  • Strategy & Planning
    • Partner with senior leadership to set marketing strategy in line with business growth objectives
    • Translate strategic priorities into actionable marketing plans and campaigns
    • Forecast marketing contribution to pipeline and report on performance to stakeholders
  • Operations & Execution
    • Oversee campaign planning, execution, and performance measurement across all channels
    • Manage demand generation processes including lead scoring, handoff to sales, and closed-loop reporting
    • Evaluate and implement marketing technology solutions to improve performance and scalability
    • Own reporting on key marketing metrics (MQLs, SQLs, pipeline contribution, ROI)
  • Collaboration & Growth
    • Work closely with sales to ensure alignment on ICP, messaging, and pipeline goals
    • Collaborate with product and services teams to ensure customer feedback informs strategy
    • Build and manage relationships with partners, agencies, and vendors to expand reach and effectiveness
Requirements

Knowledge of:

  • Proven experience in a marketing leadership role (e.g. Marketing Manager, Marketing Operations Manager, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of ICP development, market segmentation, and positioning strategies
  • Experience managing brand strategy and ensuring consistent execution across channels
  • Knowledge of B2B demand generation tactics (digital, events, ABM, partnerships)
  • Proficiency with CRM and marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce, or similar)
  • Familiarity with pipeline metrics, attribution models, and ROI analysis
  • Experience of Sage product suite particularly Sage 50, Sage Intacct, or Sage 200 desirable

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational delivery
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to coach team members and create a culture of accountability and innovation
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain brand integrity across touchpoints
  • Proficiency with Microsoft product suite including Excel, Word & Outlook
Role Requirements
  • Clean driving license preferable
  • Commutable to Mold, Flintshire
  • Remote workers can be considered dependant on experience
