A leading Specialised Industrial Service Provider is looking for a Stores Operative to join their team in Northampton. This temporary role lasts for 12 months and involves responsibilities like booking and receiving goods, assisting engineers, and maintaining accurate inventory. While experience in a warehouse is desirable, training will be provided for candidates willing to learn. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, have basic IT skills, and be ready to work in a busy environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a stores/warehouse environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Basic IT literacy for email and data entry is required.
  • Willingness to be trained on FLT if not already licensed.

Stores Operative

Carbon60 is looking to recruit a Stores Operative to work for a leading Specialised Industrial Service Provider based in Northampton.

ROLE: Stores Operative

JOB TYPE: Temp only - 12 months

LOCATION: Northampton, UK

HOURS: 40 hours/ week

  • Booking in, receiving goods, booking out, signing off necessary documentation
  • Unloading deliveries as required, no heavy lifting unless with aid and no FLT involved
  • Assisting the engineers in the trade counter area when requesting goods
  • Update internal digital systems and serve customers as required
  • Stock counting
  • Storing goods, allocating to correct areas when received
  • General housekeeping in stores area adhering to health and safety
  • Role does have potential to increase responsibilities with time on-site, dependent on the site requirements
  • Stores/warehouse experience is desirable but not essential (can be trained)
  • Able to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic IT Literacy skills for email correspondence and data entry, accuracy within MS Office and on-site systems - training on specific systems provided
  • B1 Counterbalance FLT experience is desirable but not essential.
  • If you have no prior FLT experience with the desire to be trained and licensed, or an expired license, refresher or full training courses can be provided
