Overview

Job title: Stock Controller and Administrator (ongoing role)

Location: Trafford Park

Hours: Full-time, felxible hours

Pay rate: £12.45 per hour

The Best Connection Manchester are currently recruting an experienced stock controller and administrator for our clients, a respected and prestigious industry leader, based in Trafford Park. This is an exciting opportunity to put your skills to use and join a thriving team!

Responsibilities
  • Stock & Inventory Management
  • Communication & relationship building (sometimes speaking with customers)
  • Continuous Improvement (identifying opportunities to enhance stock, administrative, and operational KPIs)
  • Flexibility & Adaptability (work flexible hours between 06:00 and 22:00 as required to support the successful operation of the department)
Skills and experience required
  • Strong knowledge of stock control processes and experience with WMS systems (e.g., DLx, DIABLO, SAP).
  • Proficient in using data exploration tools, with strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work proactively and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Flexibility to adapt to operational demands, including extended shifts during stock taking.
  • Ability to work at a height (essential).
Desirable Attributes
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role, ideally within an FMCG or logistics environment.
  • Knowledge of export documentation and DGN preparation.
  • Experience working within a multi-customer environment.
  • Familiarity with KPI reporting and analysis.
