Overview

Stock Condition / Domestic Energy Assessor

Location: Wigan | Salary: £250-£500 a day | Contract Type: Contract - 3 years

We are seeking a Stock Condition / Domestic Energy Assessor to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining and improving housing standards. You will carry out property inspections, collect and analyze data on housing conditions, and produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) to help guide investment, sustainability, and retrofit planning.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct stock condition surveys across a portfolio of residential properties.
  • Assess domestic energy performance and generate EPCs in line with current regulations.
  • Identify and report on disrepair, health and safety hazards (HHSRS), and decency standards.
  • Use handheld or tablet-based software to record survey data accurately on-site.
  • Liaise with tenants and stakeholders in a professional and respectful manner.
Requirements
  • Qualified DEA (Domestic Energy Assessor) with valid accreditation.
  • Experience conducting stock condition surveys or property inspections prefered but not required if appilicant is open to on-site training
  • Working knowledge of HHSRS, Decent Homes Standards, and energy efficiency legislation.
  • Proficient with data capture software and mobile survey tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (where required).
Desirable
  • Experience working with housing associations or local authorities.
