Job description

Our exclusive client, based in Chorley, are currently recruiting for a Stock Controller/Analyst to work alongside both their accounting and purchasing team. This candidate will be the main point of contact for stock, stock performance and stock trends.

Duties Include
  • Managing inventory and purchasing merchandise based on the customer and companys needs
  • Maintaining stock levels to increase profitability and effectiveness Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling any discrepancies.
  • Analyse sales trends, customer demand, and market conditions to forecast future inventory needs and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Enter purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases
  • Generate accurate reports on stock levels, stock movements, and stock valuation on a regular basis for management review
  • Establish and maintain effective working relations with all external vendors ensuring clear and concise communication
  • Work alongside the accounts department analysing stock costing

Due to regular reporting, a strong Excel user is essential for this role (Vlookups, Pivot Tables). You must also have a naturally analytical mind, enjoy problem solving and have good communication skills (written and verbal).
