STEM Academic Coach
Do you have a STEM degree and want classroom experience before moving into teacher training? Could you use your subject knowledge to deliver high-impact support across science, technology, engineering and maths?
As a STEM Academic Coach, you’ll deliver structured 1:1 and small-group sessions to close learning gaps and build confidence. You’ll run catch-up interventions, reinforce core concepts, prepare simple resources, and support exam practice. You’ll track progress, share feedback with teachers, and help pupils apply theory to problem-solving and practical tasks.
You hold a STEM-related degree, communicate clearly, and explain complex ideas in simple steps. You’re organised, reliable, and keen to develop classroom skills ahead of teacher training. You build rapport quickly and keep sessions purposeful and calm.
Located in the Ward of Yardley, this secondary school has a supportive culture and a strong focus on progress in the core subjects. You’ll join a collaborative team with access to resources and guidance that will help you develop quickly in the role.
Apply today with your CV to be considered for this STEM Academic Coach role. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to discuss next steps and arrange an interview. Early applications are encouraged, as the school may appoint before the closing date.
