Qualifications

  • Be a UK resident and have right to work permission.
  • Be registered with the NMC and have at least 2-year experience in a busy Angiography lab.
  • Possess competencies in Phlebotomy, Cannulation, and Intravenous drug administration.
  • Be BLS/ILS certified.
  • Possess a vast knowledge in Cardiology, Peripheral Vascular and Neurovascular diseases and their treatment.
  • Have a very good understanding of Radiation protection.

Responsibilities

  • Fully understand and pay close attention to each patient’s needs.
  • Work directly with top clinical talent in a close-knit team.
  • Gain valuable experience of new practices, equipment, and facilities.
  • Collaborate with practitioners across departments for patient care continuity.
  • Be highly motivated and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Have a flexible approach to working pattern.
  • Comply with safety standards and adhere to nursing core competencies.

Staff IVS Nurse - Angiography Suite

Leeds Hospital | Angiography | Bank | Ad hoc

Up to £25 per hour

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

As an IVS Staff Nurse you must:

Qualifications
  • Be a UK resident and have right to work permission
  • Be registered with the NMC and have at least 2-year experience in a busy Angiography lab
  • Have competencies in Phlebotomy, Cannulation and Intravenous drug administration
  • Be BLS/ILS certified
  • Possess a vast knowledge in Cardiology, Peripheral Vascular and Neurovascular diseases and their treatment
  • Have a very good understanding of Radiation protection.

  • Gain valuable experience of new practices, equipment and facilities
  • Collaborate with practitioners across other departments to ensure continuity in patient care
  • Be highly motivated and have excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills
  • Have a flexible approach to working pattern
  • Be compliant with safety standards of the Association for Peri-operative Practice and adhere to the Royal College of Nursing Core Competencies for Imaging Nurses
