Salary Range: £31,080 + 14% shift allowance (Overtime available)

Location: Towcester, On-site

Role and Business Summary:

The Microwave & Functional Materials Capability forms part of the Electronic Systems and Materials Theme within the BAE SYSTEMS Advanced Technology Centre. A Manufacturing Operative is required to join the ATS business to support the Production team in the Manufacture of our range of products.

We will provide the successful candidates with robust training and guidance required to perform the role effectively.

Typical Responsibilities:

Tasks include:

  • Prepare composite components for spraying, including cleaning, masking and handling.
  • Follow all SHE requirements, including correct PPE use and safe handling of chemicals.
  • Standing for extended periods of time while applying coatings evenly and consistently following defined work instructions
Your Skills, Experience, Knowledge & Behaviour:
Essential:
  • No Formal Qualifications required
  • Proven ability to spray coatings - through practical experience (e.g. Industrial spraying, automotive, aerospace, powder coating, painting)
  • Able to work both as part of a team and autonomously when required.
  • Desire to perform shop-floor based tasks
  • A Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
