Role: Sports Assistant supporting autistic students in a small high school in the High Peak area that caters for children with Autism & Social/Emotional needs.
Start: ASAP
Pay: £100-£115/day (PAYE, based on experience)
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4pm
This school, set in the beautiful High Peak area, supports autistic teens in a calm, friendly setting. With small classes and a focus on personalised learning, you'll help students build confidence, stay active, and develop social skills through tailored sports and PE sessions.
Support PE lessons and run activities that get students moving, having fun, and feel good about themselves. You'll work in groups or one-to-one, helping with behaviour and encouraging positive attitudes through sport. Flexibility is key, you might help in other lessons too.
Someone who loves sport and enjoys working with young people with additional needs. Patience, understanding, and a can-do attitude are a must. Experience with autistic students is a big plus but not essential.
