Job Title: Sports Coach LSA

Salary: GBP90 - GBP110 per day

TeacherActive is seeking passionate and experienced sports coaches to work with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Southampton and the surrounding areas. This role involves delivering fun and engaging physical activities while offering personalised support to students with diverse needs, including autism/ASD, SEMH, SLD, PMLD, EBD, and ADHD.

Whether your background is in schools, youth services, or community sports programmes, your skills as a sports coach can have a positive and lasting impact on young lives.

The successful Sports Coach LSA will have:

• Experience delivering sports or physical activity sessions within SEND or alternative education environments
• Confidence supporting children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, adapting activities to meet individual needs
• Ability to manage group dynamics and maintain a positive, structured environment during sports sessions
• A patient, caring, and encouraging approach to working with children who may face additional challenges
