Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist (1.0 WTE) Hammersmith & Fulham Mainstream Schools Team

Are you looking to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people? Come and join the CLCH SLT education team! We have the opportunity for an NQP or experienced Band 5 therapist to join the Hammersmith & Fulham SLT education team. The post includes working with a varied caseload across mainstream schools in Hammersmith & Fulham. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, excellent interpersonal and team-working skills, and an interest and experience of working with school-aged children and young people. Responsibilities
  • Working with increasing independence to provide assessment, diagnosis, appropriate intervention and discharge for children within the role
  • Working closely with children, families and other professionals, providing advice to others regarding the clinical management to support children and young people as relevant to the post
  • Supporting the delivery of a wide range of school aged intervention packages in relation to the whole system approach to supporting speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) within designated locality community & school settings
  • Understanding and meeting professional and legal SEND responsibilities outlined in the Children and Families Act 2014 including contributing to statutory assessments of special educational needs and delivery of Speech and Language Therapy provision as specified in children’s Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Maintaining accountability for own professional actions and recognise own professional boundaries, seeking advice from senior colleagues as appropriate
