A leading educational institution in Northampton is seeking a Specialist Study Skills Support Tutor. This part-time position requires assisting students with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and other learning differences. You will provide tailored support to develop their study skills. The ideal candidate has a teaching qualification, an honours degree, and the ability to empower students to reach their academic potential. Flexible working arrangements and a supportive team are offered.
Part time: 18.5 hours per week/0.5 FTE - Term Time Only (40 weeks per annum). Interview Date: 14 January 2026.
Are you passionate about empowering students to reach their full academic potential? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Specialist Study Skills Support Tutor to join our inclusive ASSIST Service (Additional Student Support & Inclusion Services Team). In this post, you will provide specialist study skills support on a one-to-one and small group basis to students who have dyslexia/Specific Learning Differences, ADHD, autism, and mental health conditions, as well as other additional needs, to enable them to achieve their potential.
You will help students develop effective learning strategies and independent study skills, enabling them to overcome barriers to learning and thrive in higher education and beyond. We want you to be able to carry out your work in a way that best supports UON and our students, but also you as an individual. With Smarter Working you can work with increased flexibility, if you would like to, which can facilitate greater freedom and autonomy. Remote days per week are flexible to meet student and service needs, but at least 1 per week.
