Our client is looking for an experienced Highways Inspector

Working Pattern: Shift-based (07:00 - 15:30 and 09:30 - 18:00)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Highways Inspector to join Westminster City Council on a short-term secondment. This role is critical in ensuring our statutory duties are met by carrying out routine inspections and responding promptly to reported issues across the borough.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete routine inspections of highways, footways, street furniture, and other highway assets at required intervals.
  • Identify and report defects or issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Attend sites to assess reported faults on council-managed and privately-owned assets.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on highways and street works to colleagues, supporting risk identification and decision-making.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role with the ability to hit the ground running.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Confirm software.
