A leading healthcare provider in Southwest London is seeking an experienced pharmacist to lead the critical care team. The role requires advanced clinical knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The successful candidate should possess a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy and relevant hospital pharmacy experience. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced, high‑calibre pharmacist with advanced, expert clinical knowledge and skills to lead the critical care team at St George’s Hospital. The post holder will need to be flexible and organised, be able to align their values with those of the organisation, work well within a team and have a positive attitude.
With nearly 8,500 dedicated staff caring for patients around the clock, St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the largest healthcare provider in southwest London, serving a population of 1.3 million across the region. We are a provider of local services, a centre for specialist care and a world‑class teaching hospital. The critical care units at St George’s Hospital include General Intensive Care, Cardiothoracic Intensive Care and Neurosciences Intensive Care and accept tertiary referrals from within Southwest London and beyond. A new General Intensive Care Unit is under construction and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy service in this new facility.
The post holder will be an experienced pharmacist with extensive critical care, leadership and management experience. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership, management, and clinical skills in a fast‑paced, challenging, and dynamic environment.
The successful applicant will be able to manage multiple priorities and deliver against tight deadlines. You will have excellent communication skills and be an enthusiastic educator. The ability to work autonomously and with a high level of accountability is essential. You should possess a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent and have the relevant hospital pharmacy experience.
