A regional healthcare provider in Hereford is looking for a Specialist Doctor in Anaesthesia for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves providing anaesthetic services independently for elective surgeries, supervising trainees, and participating in governance. Applicants should have over 6 years of experience in anaesthesia. This position supports a work-life balance in a beautiful rural area.
The postholder will provide anaesthetic services for elective surgical lists across a range of specialties, working independently and flexibly within an annualised job plan. They will contribute to teaching and supervision of trainees and students, participate in departmental audit and governance, and engage in CPD and appraisal processes. The role includes supporting service development and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure safe, efficient patient care. There is no on-call commitment, and the post may include cover at peripheral operating sites following induction.
