Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Watford - Primary School

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Join a wonderful primary school in Watford and make a real difference by supporting students with a variety of SEND needs.

This full‑time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, and is available for the full academic year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEND, assisting in their learning and development.
  • Help create a supportive, engaging, and safe environment for children with SEND.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the progress of SEND students.
  • Work one‑to‑one with children with SEND to support them in achieving their developmental milestones.
  • Foster positive relationships in the classroom and assist with behaviour management.
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
  • A passion for supporting children with SEND and a commitment to making a positive impact.
  • Available to start immediately and able to commit for the full academic year.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Child‑Only DBS check.
  • Experience working with children, with references available.
  • Local to Watford or within a commutable distance.

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
