Overview

Sous Chef Saffron Restaurant is seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our busy Asian kitchen. As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of food, hygiene, and teamwork are maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Head Chef with menu planning, preparation, and service across Indian and Chinese dishes
• Supervising and supporting the kitchen team during busy shifts
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
• Overseeing stock control, ordering, and rotation
• Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed
• Stepping up to cover Head Chef duties in their absence

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Chef de Partie ready to step up
• Solid background in Asian cuisine
