Overview

Charlton Athletic Football Club is seeking a professional and dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team at the club's training ground in New Eltham. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a high-performance environment, supporting the nutritional and dietary needs of elite athletes and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and delivery of high-quality, performance-led meals
  • Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Ensure all food is prepared in line with dietary requirements and nutritional guidelines
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and health & safety compliance
  • Support inventory management, ordering, and stock rotation
  • Supervise and support junior kitchen staff as required
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Sous Chef role or equivalent within a professional kitchen environment
  • Strong understanding of nutrition and dietary needs, particularly within a sports or health-focused setting
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership abilities
  • Food hygiene certification and relevant culinary qualifications
