As a Software Engineer Principal within PNC's Technology - Data Products organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Birmingham, AL, or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

Position Overview

  • As a Software Engineer Principal you will play a crucial role in shaping how data is used to create innovative and valuable data products for Lines of Businesses (Retail Lending, Retail Deposits, Wholesale and Wealth Management) and for Enterprise Technology.
  • Defining/refining the data product lifecycle playbook with key deliverables, standards, and frameworks relevant across the process.
  • Refining the strategy for creating, deploying, and improving data products, ensuring alignment with the bank's overall strategic goals. This involves identifying opportunities for innovation and ensuring data products remain competitive.
  • Establishing and managing processes for identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing data product initiatives based on business impact, technical feasibility, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Advocating for data products and the underlying data platform to promote their value and increase usage across different business units.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, emerging technologies (like AI and advanced analytics), and best practices in data strategy and product management within financial services.

Base Salary: $65,000.00 – $165,600.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
